The bat who couldnt fly

On a cold and stormy winter night, there were a group of 5 bats; 4 that flew quickly and a baby one who was barely learning how to fly. The night was very windy, very cold, rainy with lightning and thunder. The moon was hidden in the clouds. The bats were looking for a place to stay dry. The wind blew and blew, but the bats kept going, except for the last one. A huge, giant wind came and blew him the opposite direction. It pushed him into a tree and he came sliding down until he hit the cold, wet floor. He had landed on his left wing and it hurt real bad! He couldn't move or go anywhere to get out of the rain because he was in so much pain. So he just lay there motionless...The hours passed and the rain, thunder and lightning all went away. The wind still went strong. The sun came up, but it wasn't too bright because it hid behind the clouds. The bat became drowsy; very very sleepy so he went to sleep very cold. The hours passed rapidly, or so he felt. Next thing he knew, it was dark and there were very dark threatening clouds in the sky. The wind blew even harder than the day before, no rain yet, but it would soon return! So the bat, still very sore from the hit, awoke and flapped both of his wings making sure one wasn't broken, He then got up and started to fly very weak, every now and then he would lose control and would descend rapidly, but he pulled it together and kept going. He started chirping the bat call he knew and was hearing a response. He followed the noise as it became louder and clearer. The rain started falling again, but not too hard this time then he saw his family start to fly. He was going to be left behind, but he flapped and flapped and caught up. Now the baby bat was with his family. They were reunited again and now they flew altogether like the family that they were!
